PostgreSQL DBA, DBA, IMS AppOps

Description

MySQL -

-----------

•             Good Expertise in  MySQL internals, configuration, and replication strategies and upgradation/Migration is MANDATORY

•             Exp in migrating between database technologies, especially integrating with third-party replication systems such as Tungsten.

•             Working experience in  migrating MySQL Fabric Replication Shards to NDB Cluster 7.4 is MANDATORY

•             Working experience in NDB Clusters is MANDATORY Should have basic understanding of MySQL development.

•             Expertise in upgrading and migrating databases to Cloud Hands on experience on Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.

•             Should have good understanding on Indexing, Partitions, and different storage engines available under MySQL.

•             Hands on experience in setting up replication and different configuration parameters available in MySQL.

•             Good exposure working with Linux/Unix environment.

•             Capable of supporting and implementing technology projects as the primary DBA in support of business initiatives.

PostgreSQL-

-----------------

•             Candidate with good skills in Database Installation, Administration, Database Tuning, Maintenance etc.,

•             Solid understanding of database design principals

•             Good experience with PostgreSQL 8.3, 8.4, 9.0

•             Responsible for the day to day production support operation including maintain of databases for Prod and Dev environments.

•             Good understanding of query execution plans.

•             Good SQL scripts skill including SPs, PSQL scripting.

•             Good performance tuning skills.

•             Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues.

•             Implement monitoring and alerting

•             Knowledge of disaster recovery principles and practices, including planning, testing, backup/restore.

•             Experience in replication, is a plus.

•             Hands-on experience on database administration, backup recovery and troubleshooting in co-location environments.

•             Expertise in Oracle Backup & Recovery.  

•             Experience in Database Cloning or Refresh.

•             Analyze requirements from developers for data loads/migrations, and build PL/SQL procedures to satisfy requests.

•             Problem-solving skills.
