Description

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership on all quality matters across the Platform, Channel including adoption, compliance with the organization's standard policies whilst also being a strong advocate in the support of improvements to the same.
• Perform architect for Performance Engineering which will own all the service offerings involving Performance Testing and Performance Monitoring using APM tools.
• Encourage innovation and consider the automation of certain areas of solutions.
• Create IP tool solutions for performance testing using graphing software, time-series databases and the ELK stack.
• Exposure to PaaS technologies containers like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Produce comprehensive, robust quality strategies that enable the continual flow of work packages across the Platform or Channel value stream in line with the domain strategy.
• Accountable for all aspects of quality across run and change activity within the assigned Platform or Channel.
• Accountable for ensuring the defects are detected and reported to be prioritized (based on impact) with the Product Owners.
• Track and ensure that defects are resolved at the earliest possible moment.
• Creates positive collaborative working relationships across other CoEs, teams to continually improve quality and testing solutions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with all internal, external stakeholders including to a senior level within and outside the Domain where appropriate.
• Support peers within the Domain/Platform/Channels to ensure that all deliveries are met ensuring that there is alignment and no duplication across the agile teams. 
• Review all key collateral, metrics Platform/Channel relating to delivery and ensures it is of sufficient quality with no gaps or duplication.
• Drives and owns the automation charter to eliminate error-prone manual testing.
• Make recommendations and articulate findings including potential impact on existing, prospective customers.
• Provide solutions for performance testing and engineering by understanding the requirements.
• Assist teams in defining the minimal standards of their required outcomes, participating in sprint planning and retrospective sessions when required.
• Design and implement a Test Automation Strategy.
• Create modular and reusable Automation frameworks with Selenium + JUnit/TestNG.
• Actively contributes to Centre of Excellence (CoE) specialism by cross-sharing of learnings, emerging, good and best practices with colleagues.

Essential Skills

• Should have experience in automated testing practices and tools – Selenium, QTP/UFT, other similar tools.
• Should have experience in any framework like Cucumber or Date Driven.
• Must have experience in designing frameworks from scratch.
• Should have 10 years of experience in Performance Testing and Engineering.
• Should have experience in API performance Testing.
• Proficient in the NFT process including Security, Accessibility and Operational Acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with CICD solutions like Jenkins and GitHub actions.
• Proficient with various performance testing techniques to ensure that the business requirements in performance test models are aligned.
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in doing Performance testing in an Agile environment using Continuous Integration Tools – Jenkins/Maven.
• Good understanding of Automation with open-source test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, API automation tools) on Cloud Applications. 
• Exposure to Application clustering/load balancing concepts and technologies on Cloud Platforms.
• Must have basic knowledge of Storage and DB Server configuration on AWS/Azure/GCP. 
• Proficient with two or more programming languages: JAVA, Perl and Python. 
• Good understanding of AWS and Azure microservices architecture. 
  
  
  

Essential Qualification

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
